Scrub one of the limes under hot running water and zest it thinly.
Press the juice of both limes and pour into a salad bowl with the zests.
Crush the ice cubes and add them to the lime juice with the cane syrup and cognac.
Mix, then add the Kriter.
Divide between the champagne glasses. Serve immediately.
